2012-2013 NHS EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS

Current members of the PHUHS chapter of the National Honor Society who wish to be board members (officers) during the 2012-2013 school year need to complete an application and return it to Ms. Pollack in room 4 101 before or after school by: Friday March 16, 2012. CLICK HERE FOR THE APPLICATION.

NHS members must maintain a weighted GPA of 3.5 and unweighted GPA of 3.0, have no disciplinary referrals, and fulfill volunteer obligations (See “Volunteer requirements” below). Members are expected to attend every meeting, held on the first Wednesday of each month, as this is the time when important news and volunteer events will be announced. If students cannot attend a meeting for an acceptable reason (prior engagement, other club event) you must notify Ms. Pollack ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
New Junior NHS members must complete a minimum of 10 volunteer hours at NHS sponsored events by January ( of senior year), 5 of which need to be completed by the end of junior year.

New Senior NHS members are required to complete 7 volunteer hours at NHS sponsored events by the end of May during his or her senior year. Volunteer events will be announced at our monthly meetings and facebook information page. When a student commits to an event and signs up for hours, it is his or her responsibility to make sure the obligations are fulfilled.

• NHS monthly meetings occur on the first Wednesday of every month.
• Meetings will be held in the cafeteria after school
• You will learn of new volunteer projects and procedures for the upcoming year

SENIORS – NHS Graduation Cords will be sold for $12.00 after school in the cafeteria on May 29^th and 30^th.
