Objectives: Chapter 3 Stoichiometry
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion the student should be able to:
- show how to convert among moles, mass, and number of particle
given.
- show how to calculate a molar mass.
- demonstrate how to calculate the mass percentage of a given
element in a compound.
- demonstrate how to calculate an empirical formula of a
compound.
- show how to determine the molecular formula, given molecular
mass and empirical formula.
- show how to calculate the masses of reactants and products
using a chemical reaction.
- demonstrate the use of limiting reactants in stoichiometric
calculations.
