Option D: Environmental Chemistry
The effect of human activity on the environment has become increasingly global, with effects of chemicals in the air and water spanning political and natural borders. An understanding of impact is essential within and beyond the study of chemistry.
OPTION H - Further Organic Chemistry (HL) only
A continuation of SSC and AHL organic chemistry.
OPTION G - MODERN ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY (HL) only
The emphasis throughout this option should be on problem solving, using information gained from one or more techniques. Students should understand the chemical principles behind each analytical technique but are not expected to have a detailed knowledge of the instruments themselves
